Between scheduling the courts, privates, teachers, the camps and classes my brain is sizzling so if I missed anything, please reach out again!! On another note, thank you for the support of my ministerial path. I have tried to go through my computer and catch up on all the emails. My computer crashed along with my cell phone emails so if you were one of the people whose emails I did not return, I apologize. Tennis Ace and Serve It Up Tennis has all your stringing and racket needs. Check out Coach Natalie with her new HEAD Gravity Pro racket. It is super important to refresh your strings. Keep in mind that strings last only five to six months before they go flat. Tennis Ace is offering a new grip with your new string job. HEAD/Penn wants to remind you it is time to restring your racket. She is remembering everything quickly and I know she will be able to play mother/daughter matches with Izzi soon. We love her singing show tunes and her “Come On!” Denise stopped tennis when she had her daughter, but while watching Izzi play this past year gave her the desire to play again, Denise finally decided this spring to jump back into lessons and is doing great. Plus, she is such a positive energy on the court. Melissa is a regular in our adult program, leader on our teams, and Friday challenges. Congratulations to Melissa Byer and Denise Wong (and hubby P. Both ladies are from Canada so obviously Canada raises amazing women. What’s New with The Crew? On this day to celebrate the United States Independence, we want to welcome and congratulate two of our favorite crew members who in the past few months became citizens of the United States. Plus, it would really help me if you “rent” my court! Cost is the same as they charge at the center $15 7am-4pm and $20 4pm-9pm. BUT if you text me, there is a high probability I will have an early morning, midday, or evening court available. Want to play on your own? Weddington is having the coaches pay for their court Monday-Friday for the whole day so availability can be tight if you call in to the office. The court situation has changed at Weddington so I need to figure out how it will work. NUTTS is my annual family fun tennis tournament that I have done every year except for 2020. I will send out a special dedicated email when I decide about NUTTS. What about NUTTS Nikki? I am thinking about it…. Please always put name and date of class attended. How do we pay? I accept Venmo Nicole-Robbins-9, Zelle 81 which comes up under my first name Charlotte, PayPal or ole fashion cash. I can also help you purchase one for you or your child if you are interested in getting one. We have rackets to borrow if you need one. Kids in three-hour camps, should bring extra water and a snack. Wear comfortable clothing and closed toe shoes. What to bring to camps and classes is a regular question I hear. If you are interested in playing let me know. I won’t be organizing any this summer, but I will make sure to get them started again in the fall. I know many of you are asking about adult leagues. Please let me know if you would like to play this week. I will send out an email beginning of the week to sign up. This will be weekly Friday 5:00-7:00pm doubles play. Our Friday challenge court went well last week. Monday 6:00-8:00pm Intermediate Wednesday 6:00-8:00pm Advanced Thursday 8:00-9:00am Intermediate (waitlist) Thursday 9:00-10:00am Intermediate (waitlist) Thursday 6:00-8:00pm Beginning Friday 9:00-10:00am Intermediate Saturday 9:00-10:00 All levels There is no adult class Saturday July 3rd and July 5th. We have changed the time of Friday class to 9:00-10:00 am. I am thinking of adding some more options. Most classes are first hour is drill with the second hour an optional free play. To sign up, just send me an email or text and let me know which class and day(s) you want to come. There is a waiting list for almost all the classes. Email me to reserve your child’s spot in our camps or classes.Īdult classes are rocking. There will not be camp and classes on July 5 th. There is still room in all the camps and classes. I know she is waiting for a super-hot day to break out the water balloons. I think Coach Natalie who I put in charge of the morning camp is having even more fun than the kids. Thank you!” Makes me happy to know the kids are learning tennis and having a good time. I got a text today, “My daughter is constantly telling me how much she loves tennis camp. We are going into our third week of camp and we are getting very rave reviews.
